Over the weekend ex football player OJ Simpson had another run in with the law. He was in Las Vegas when he supposedly went into a hotel room with a few of his friends and they robbed a memorabilia dealer with a gun. Simpson claims he was attempting to take back items of his which were stolen from him, they are merchandise from when he still played ball. OJ was stuck in jail without bond from Saturday until Tuesday, his bail was set at $125, 000 and he now roams the streets again. Simpson still faces 11 criminal counts, and 10 felony charges some are, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, conspiracy to commit robbery, two counts of kidnapping with a deadly weapon, burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon, two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and coercion with use of a deadly weapon. He also has misdemeanor charge that he’s facing. Simpson continues to say he’s not guilty, but we shall see what happens with OJ and his up coming trial.
OJ Simpson is a very interesting person. One would imagine that a man that has previously ran from the cops, and been acquitted of a murder trial that involved his ex-wife and friend, would be a little careful of what he does. It’s very obvious that he has been involved with this conspiracy and that there were weapons used in the case. The only thing left to figure out is if OJ had possession of the gun during the robbery, and who should be charged with such crimes. Simpson and his lawyers have a very long up hill battle ahead of them and it should be interesting to see what happens with OJ and if he will finally go to jail after getting out of the trial with his ex-wife.
